My Approach

I offer a welcoming, safe, and private environment—either in person, on video, or by phone—to help you explore your inner world. Together, we’ll delve into your feelings, beliefs, and experiences, supporting your autonomy at every step.

What drives my work:

  • Unconditional Positive Regard – I value you wholly, just as you are.
  • Congruence –  I’ll always be honest and transparent with you.

  • Empathic Understanding – I’ll do my best to walk in your shoes and truly hear your world.

Together, We Can

Counselling can be a lifeline for many situations. I frequently support people through:

  • Bereavement
  • Relationship breakdowns
  • Work stress
  • Trauma
  • Regret
  • Anxiety & panic
  • Depression
  • Anger
  • Low self‑esteem
  • Relationship difficulties

No matter how big or small the challenge, we’ll take it one step at a time.

Neurodiversity

I’ve completed specialist training in neurodiversity and feel deeply passionate about supporting adults who have recently been diagnosed with Autism (ASD) or ADHD. I understand that receiving a diagnosis—at any age—can bring a mix of emotions and questions, and I’m here to offer a safe, accepting space to explore what that means for you. My approach is gentle, person-centred, and rooted in respect for each individual's unique way of experiencing the world. Together, we can work to build understanding, confidence, and self-compassion at your own pace.

Ready When You Are

Whether you're facing something tough or just want to explore more about yourself—I'm here to walk beside you. You don’t have to go through it alone.

"This was my first time attending counselling and I found Victoria to be professional but friendly which made me feel less nervous. I was able to open up much more than I thought as I did not feel judged, in fact she was empathic and helped me with making decisions."

Eve, Durham

"Not to put too fine a point on it, but Victoria has helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life. Her ability to ask hard (yet important) questions and help me understand the motivations behind some of the things going on in my life - and come to terms with them - has enabled me to move forward immeasurably. Two and a half years later, I’m in a completely different position in my life, and I don’t think I would have reached this point anywhere near as smoothly without Victoria’s help. She really listens and gets to the heart of things, and it’s amazing what can happen when you do that.."
